Five TVEC-registered programmes — Hairdresser and Beautician NVQ Level 4, Barbering NVQ Level 3, Bridal Dresser and Tailoring diplomas. Intakes every January and July.
Every programme at Miracle Academy is registered with the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission under Reg. No. P10/0084, so the certificate you earn is recognised by employers across Sri Lanka and accepted for overseas job applications. Training is roughly 90% practical and runs inside a working salon, so you finish with real client experience rather than only theory. We are the closest NVQ beauty academy to Kandy, and classes are taught in Sinhala, Tamil and English.

Enroll NowMatale sits about 26 km north of Kandy on the A9, roughly a 45 minute bus ride from the Kandy Goods Shed bus stand. Many of our students travel in daily from Kandy, Katugastota, Akurana, Ukuwela and Dambulla. Weekday and weekend batches let you fit the course around a job or around school, and course days are grouped so you are not commuting five days a week.
More than 1,000 students have completed a programme here since 2010. An NVQ certificate is the document salons ask for when they set your pay grade, and it is the qualification recruitment agents need before they can process an overseas placement.
NVQ Level 4 is a national qualification issued under the TVEC framework, so it is the one listed on government and overseas recruitment forms. Our Bridal Dresser and Tailoring programmes are academy diplomas — the training and practical hours are the same standard, but the certificate is issued by Miracle Academy rather than through the NVQ framework.
Yes. Every programme runs a weekday batch and a weekend batch, and class days are grouped rather than spread across the week. A large share of our students are already working in salons and are studying to move up a pay grade or to qualify for an overseas placement.
Fees vary by programme and by whether you join the weekday or weekend batch, and instalment plans are available for most courses. Message us on WhatsApp at 071 807 95 35 and we will send you the current fee sheet for the course you are interested in.
Products and salon equipment used in class are provided. Students buy a personal tool kit — scissors, brushes and similar items — which you keep and take into the job afterwards. We tell you exactly what is on the list before the intake starts so there are no surprises.
It is about 45 minutes by bus from Kandy along the A9, and buses run frequently through the day. Because class days are grouped into two or three days a week rather than spread out, most Kandy students travel in only on those days. We are the closest NVQ-registered beauty academy to Kandy.
